Enrolment
To apply to enrol at Newmarket School the following documents are required. Please email the completed forms to office@newmarket.school.nz.

Copy of child's Birth Certificate OR a copy of Passport
Proof of address, a copy of either: Purchase agreement or tenancy documents (stating period of rental), telephone, power, or rates account showing your name and street address.
Student Visa (if not a New Zealand citizen). We do not accept enrolment appications for students holding visitors visas. If the Student Visa application is in process please send receipt of application to INZ.
Copy of Immunisation Certificate - if immunised.
Please note:
We do not enrol students on a visitors visa
We only enrol students who live permanently in a residential address in our zone
For new entrants, living within the school zone, please complete the enrolment forms at the office anytime after the child's 4th birthday. The law states that your child may not start school prior to their 5th birthday.
International Fee Paying Students (see below)
At Newmarket School we accept a small number of International Fee Paying students holding visitors visas. Students must be residing in New Zealand with a parent, and be enrolling for at least two terms (20 weeks).

Zoning
In Zone
If you live within the school zone, there is an automatic right of enrolment with proof of address, once we have received your enrolment and other associated forms. School visits may be arranged for your child to visit the class and meet the teacher prior to starting school by telephoning the school office to arrange. View the school zone.
Out of Zone
Newmarket School does not accept Out of Zone applications at this time. We only have room for those living within the school zone. This is unlikely to change within the next few years. View the school zone.

International Student Enrolments
We only accept (approx.) a small number International Students per year.
Forms:
A minimum enrolment of two terms is required.
The Fee to apply is NZ $750.00.
Application Forms and an International Prospectus are available at the top of this page and from the school office.
Acceptance is subject to the Principal's approval and if there is space within the school in the relevant age group.
Copies of Passports with current Visa stamps will be required of the child and parents.
The child must be residing with a parent/guardian for the duration of their stay in New Zealand.
Proof of Medical Insurance coverage for the duration of the child's stay in New Zealand is also required. The school will not be liable for any medical expenses.
If the child is accepted for enrolment at Newmarket Primary, all International fees are payable before starting and then a confirmation letter will be provided for Immigration to assist with Passport/International Student Visa application.
